Job description

We are looking for a Group Manager for one of our groups within Safety South located in Malmö. The group has a strong focus on occupational health and safety, machine safety, CE marking and the Pressure Vessels Directive. As Group Manager at AFRY, you get a role with great variety and the opportunity to adapt the role to your and the group's needs. You lead operations with responsibility for staff and results, which includes, among other things; occupancy, quality, skills development, etc. As a leader, you like challenges and have a great responsibility for the development and well-being of your employees. You work closely with the management team and have colleagues all over the country and report to the Service Area Manager. You combine your managerial role with also working operationally in projects, as an assignment leader or specialist.

Within the service areas of Process and Machine Safety, Work Environment, Health, Safety, Risk, Fire and EHS, there are a large number of services that we offer our customers based on their needs. The assignments are carried out both in ongoing operations and in projects and with the support of one of our packaged offers and our software solutions. It can be about achieving the customer's desired results, complying with applicable regulations and developing / creating corporate cultures for safer, more efficient and better facilities, working methods, products and services, as well as developing the skills of the customer's staff.

Examples of assignments in the Safety area:  

  • Risk assessment of Process plants and systems.
  • CE labeling of machinery, products and equipment.
  • Ensuring safe and efficient operations that support compliance with applicable standards, laws and other requirements. 
  • Verification and validation of Safety Systems for both Machinery and Process plants.
  • Proactively develop and adapt the customer's existing approaches, principles, methods, tools and processes and provide training.
  • Conduct internal audits, gap analyses, audits based on standards, legislation and against the customer's own requirements.
  • Project management of HSE-related projects.
  • Acting in roles such as HSE advisor, Safety manager, EHS coordinator in the different phases of an investment project, for example BAS-P/BAS-U.
  • Risk management; planning, implementation and management of risk analyses/risk assessments for machinery, equipment as well as chemicals or ATEX environment.

Qualifications

We would like you to have: 

  • Experience in leadership, staff responsibility is meritorious.
  • Experience in sales and is used to interacting with customers.
  • Experience with budget and profit responsibility is meritorious.
  • Experience with HSE, machine safety, process safety, work environment, chemical safety, ATEX
  • Experience working with system support and tools for the area

We also expect you to have a good knowledge of the laws and standards that apply in the area you work in. You should have at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

We are looking for you who have a sense and high understanding of the customers' business and challenges and who want to develop further. You are goal-oriented with the ability to work and drive projects and activities proactively, both independently and in teams.

You are pedagogical, are responsive and solve difficulties in a constructive way. You are good at communicating with the ability to create consensus and commitment as well as to make contacts and maintain relationships.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

As travel occurs as a natural part of the job, you need to have a B driving license
