Job description

In line with our ambition to be a leading engineering and consulting company that provides sustainable technology and technical solutions within the process industry, we are now looking for a committed Group Manager in Mechanics/Pipe construction who wants to be part of building our business in Piteå and the surrounding area.

At the Piteå office, AFRY has 65 employees today, and we look forward to the future with the goal of expanding our team, leveraging our collective expertise and creating a strong platform for continuous growth and innovation.

As Group Manager at AFRY, you are responsible for the group's profitability, competence development and are the closest manager responsible for personnel.

Our business is focused on both projects and services within paper & pulp, battery, steel and mining. You will belong to market area North which stretches from Hudiksvall to Kiruna and is part of the extended management team for Business Unit Local Project and Engineering North.

AFRY is a company with a strong sales culture so you should find sales and customer relations stimulating. As Group Manager, you naturally have a great deal of responsibility for your employees' development and well-being as well as the profitability of the business. You always work for the good of the division and for AFRY, and we see cooperation between salespeople and managers at different units as a matter of course.


Requirements specification

We are looking for a business-oriented team player with strong sales skills who has experience in the business area Mechanics/Pipe construction and has competence and a strong desire to continue developing customer relations and the organization further. You have experience in creating long-term customer relationships and perhaps already a large contact network within the industry. You like challenges and have a natural aptitude for creating a pleasant atmosphere for your employees.

To be successful with the service, we think you tick off most of the things on our list:

  • You have experience in leadership and personnel responsibility.
  • You have technical university education in Mechanics/Pipe construction (or equivalent) and documented work experience in the field.
  • You have experience in sales/business relations and are used to interacting with customers.
  • It is a plus if you have your own developed customer network in the region.

You also need to have a dose of humility and see collaboration as the key to success. As a person, you are independent, clear and communicative. You are coaching in your leadership style and have good knowledge of people.
