Job description

AFRY is investing heavily in upcoming rail projects in the Nordic region and we are equipped for investments in both maintenance and new construction. Our railway organization is today national with offices from Malmö to Luleå and through close cooperation between different technical areas, we together form a strong whole. In Sweden, we currently have about 120 employees in the competence areas BEST+KM and Railway Systems. You are responsible for the section's operations, including strategies, profitability, marketing, quality, personnel and skills development. You combine your managerial role with also working some time as a consultant, preferably as an assignment leader or technology specialist.  

Section South currently consists of about 35 employees spread over a number of offices, Helsingborg, Malmö, Hässleholm, Växjö, Halmstad and Karlshamn. The employees are led by 4 group managers who report to the section manager.  

You are part of AFRY Railway's management team where you are part of the business's overall marketing and competence plans as well as business concepts.

The location is one of the above-mentioned offices where the section operates. 

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are passionate about team development, customer satisfaction, business acumen and have a keen interest in the section's services! 

For this role, we see that you have several years of experience in the industry and are well versed in the issues in the technical areas of track, electricity, signal, telecommunications and canalization.  Educationally, we believe that you are a university or civil engineer or have acquired equivalent experience from elsewhere. We prefer that you have previous experience as a consultant, but if you have worked on the contractor or client side, it is also interesting.   

You have previously demonstrated good leadership and can naturally engage and motivate. As we have employees in other countries, it is also of great importance to work to make them feel included in the team and in our missions. We see that you have good social skills and like to be challenged both technically and in terms of business and leadership. You have a business drive, are relationship-building and it is a great advantage if you have an established network in the industry. Of course, you see yourself as a team player and you enjoy sharing your knowledge with both customers and colleagues.For this role, we also see that you are fluent in Swedish and English and have easy to express yourself in speech and writing. Security clearance with register check will be carried out before security-classified assignment.
