Do you want to lead exciting projects in northern Sweden and combine business acumen with a people-first approach? Then AFRY has the role for you. Our current Section Manager is moving on to new challenges  and we are therefore looking for a replacement.

About the role

As Section Manager (Service Area Manager), you will have overall responsibility for the section—staff, business, marketing, growth, and profitability. Your mission is to build a long-term sustainable business with high competence and delivery capability.

You lead with a coaching approach and create a work environment where employees thrive and develop. At the same time, you drive business, nurture existing customer relationships, and open doors to new opportunities.

What we do

The department primarily works with design and engineering in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation, as well as industrial HVAC, in both small and large industrial projects. Our clients are in the industrial sector in the north (e.g., Paper & Pulp, Mining & Steel, Energy, Manufacturing).

You will be part of AFRY’s office in Luleå with approximately 160 skilled colleagues and will be part of the management team for Project and Engineering North, covering the area from Hudiksvall to Kiruna.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has advanced technical training in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, and Automation.
• Have experience in leadership and personnel management.
• Are accustomed to business and customer relations.
• Have held roles with budget and profit responsibility.
• Have a strong network in the region and view collaboration as the key to success.

You are business-driven, communicative, and a coach in your leadership style—with the ability to create opportunities and view change as something positive.
