Job description

Our Safety & EHS business segment is AFRY's capability cluster in machine safety and occupational health and safety with employees spread across the country from Malmö in the south to Luleå in the north.

As we are currently experiencing a great demand in the energy industry, we are looking for you who want to work with health and safety in the electric power sector in the Mälardal region, you are welcome to start from Stockholm or Uppsala as a stationing location.

You will act as expert support to the customer's project organization in construction and civil engineering contracts in all project phases. This is done by managing a systematic work with health, safety, environmental and quality issues in requirement setting and follow-up so that designers and contractors comply with current legislation and requirements.

Your main responsibilities and tasks may include:

  • Support project managers in the ongoing health, safety, environmental and quality work
  • Follow up, review and monitor health, safety, environmental and quality work during design and execution through workplace control
  • Participate in safety and environmental rounds and monitor that deviations are addressed
  • Participate in meetings and internal planning and project meetings
  • Incident monitoring and deviation reporting and document the handling and follow-up of the same

Qualifications

To be qualified for this position, we see that you possess the following experience and characteristics:

  • Have at least 5 years of documented experience in the work environment, environment or quality profession where the work environment and electrical safety are primary core competencies.
  • Worked with risk management and deviation management as well as the application of relevant legislation, current practices, norms and standards
  • Possesses knowledge and experience of construction law

We would like you to be outgoing and clear in your communication and be able to work independently, solution-oriented and goal-oriented within given frameworks.

Additional experience:

  • Completed training in Bas-P and Bas-U in the last three years and experience of working in Bas-P and Bas-U roles
  • Completed ESA training expert (EBR ESA electrical work) according to current industry practice
  • Experience of working in a coordinating, driving and reviewing role in a major plant project
  • Experience of equivalent tasks within a client organization in the energy industry
