Job description

We are looking for an experienced and innovative consultant in IT operations / infrastructure for one of our local customers in Uppsala.

The assignment consists of being responsible for the operation and management of a couple of the customer's applications and associated technical infrastructure.

The assignment includes operation, installation, upgrade, monitoring and troubleshooting of applications, databases, servers and underlying infrastructure in production environment, including physical server equipment in data centers.

The working language is Swedish. In this assignment, the work is carried out on site, but remote work is possible in consultation with the customer.

As a consultant, this means that other consulting assignments will also occur after the end of the assignment with the current customer, including customers in the defense sector (both private and public). We see travel as a natural part of the consulting role.

Qualifications

Your professional skills are of course important, but what you have to contribute as a person is at least as important. However, to match our needs and the customer's needs, the following requirements must be met.

Requirements - you should have:

• Experience in administration of Linux servers in production environment (Debian).
• Experience in operation and configuration of web servers with authentication solutions (Apache httpd with Shibboleth module) in production environment.
• Experience in operating and managing Java-based web applications in container platforms (Docker) in production environment.
• Experience in managing relational databases (PostgreSQL) and document databases (MongoDB) in production environment.
• Experience in installing, configuring and upgrading applications in production environment.
• Experience in troubleshooting based on system and application logs.
• Experience in backup and recovery of systems and databases.
• Experience in handling operational incidents in production environment.
• Basic competence in network infrastructure and troubleshooting network related operational issues.
• Experience in installing and managing server hardware in a rack environment.
• Ability to perform simple hardware maintenance, such as replacing disks, memory or network cards.
• Experience in remote management of servers via out-of-band management, such as iLO or iDRAC.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation for operational environments.
• Experience in implementing and managing protection measures against automated traffic, such as bots and AI-based clients, in web applications or APIs in production environment.Work experience with Microsoft Windows Server, version 2016 or higher, gained in operations and/or management and/or development assignments.
• Work experience with virtualization, gained in operations and/or management and/or development assignments.
• Work experience with IT related work in data centers and associated technology spaces.
• Working experience of installing, configuring and operating firewalls.
• Working experience of working on developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Working experience of working on IT development projects.
• B driving license.
