AFRY is now making a major investment and launching a new segment called Defense! Do you feel a sense of responsibility toward the Swedish Armed Forces, want to be part of this initiative, and contribute your IT expertise? With us, you can do just that.

We’re currently looking for a senior consultant in IT operations/infrastructure who wants to help develop the defense systems of the future.

As an IT consultant in the defense sector, you’ll work with advanced technical solutions and be part of a team that ensures our systems are robust, secure, and efficient. You’ll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that are of great importance to Sweden’s—and our—defense capabilities.

As a consultant, travel is a natural part of the job.

Qualifications

Your professional skills are, of course, important, but what you bring to the table as a person is just as important. In this role, for example, you need to enjoy collaborating in a team and giving and receiving feedback, find it interesting when circumstances change, have a willingness to contribute and help others, and not hesitate to ask for help yourself if you get stuck. 

We believe you have strong security awareness and high integrity, and are fluent in spoken and written Swedish, as Swedish is required when communicating with colleagues and customers.

Requirements – you must have:

• At least eight (8) years of professional experience with Linux in a server environment.
• At least two (2) years of work experience with LAN/WAN regarding the installation, configuration, and operation of routers and switches.
• Swedish citizenship. For this client and the assignments in question, Swedish citizenship and a passed security clearance are required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications – you should have:

• Work experience with Microsoft Windows Server, version 2016 or higher, gained in operations and/or administration and/or development assignments.
• Work experience with virtualization, gained in operations and/or management and/or development roles.
• Work experience with IT-related tasks in server rooms and associated technical facilities.
• Work experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of firewalls.
• Work experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• Work experience in IT development projects.
• Class B driver’s license.
