Job Description

Are you at the beginning of your career in electronics and want to work with technology where both precision and functionality are crucial? At AFRY, we are now looking for a junior electronics developer for an exciting assignment in the defense industry.

Here, you’ll work closely with hardware and delve into how electronics actually work—in the real world.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of electronics design and production, focusing on how printed circuit boards and electronic systems are implemented and function in practice.

You’ll work with printed circuit board production, electronics workflows, and technical specifications, ensuring that the design is correctly implemented, testable, and robust. Much of the work takes place in MES systems, where you define and structure how the electronics are to be built and verified.

The role is technically broad and provides you with a deep understanding of the entire chain—from design to finished product.

The work takes place on-site at the customer’s location and requires you to undergo a security clearance.

Examples of job responsibilities

• Work on technical preparation related to circuit boards and electronics
• Ensure that the design and construction function in actual hardware
• Developing and structuring workflows in MES systems
• Troubleshooting, testing, and verifying electronics
• Contributing to improvements in electronics design and manufacturing methods
• Collaborating closely with design, testing, and quality
• Perform hands-on work with electronics and product-related activities

Qualifications

We believe you have: 

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics engineering (BSc or MSc)
• 1–3 years of professional experience in a relevant field (if you have more experience, you’re of course also welcome to apply)
• A strong interest in technology and a desire to work hands-on
• Experience with, for example, soldering, assembly, or similar tasks is a plus
• A basic understanding of PCB/PCA and electronics design is a plus
• Swedish citizenship (only) and the ability to undergo a security clearance (a requirement for the position)
• Ability to work on-site
