Job description

As part of our investment in the Water Market Area, we are now looking for a Stormwater Investigator for our section Management Networks & Strategy, Northern Norrland. In the stormwater area, we work with stormwater plans, stormwater strategies, modeling of cloudburst and flood problems, investigations that include pollution amounts and flows, action planning with measures such as ditches and dams. We work in all project stages from early stages of investigations to design with the preparation of tender documents as well as sampling and follow-up.

The position involves working in water and wastewater-related assignments with a primary focus in the stormwater area, locally and regionally and to collaborate nationally with other consultants within AFRY. Each assignment is unique and thus requires a unique team setup that is adapted to the assignment. An assignment organization can thus consist of colleagues from several different offices within the company, often with a colleague with local roots for proximity to the client. In the position, you will work on assignments throughout the country. Travel occurs, but you will have the office as your regular workplace and there you will also perform most of your work. The service also means that the work is reported in memos or major reports. The ability to express yourself in writing is therefore an important part of the role as a stormwater investigator.

Qualifications

For this role, we see that you are newly graduated or have a few years of experience. As a person, you are curious and interested in the water industry, especially the stormwater area, and have energy and drive.

Educational wise, you have a relevant degree or have acquired equivalent experience from elsewhere.

Commonly used programs are Autocad, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, Scalgo and Stormtac. Other programs that we also work with are Mike+ and HEC-RAS.

At AFRY, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities, we value strong commitment and the ability to collaborate with others. As the work involves a lot of internal and external contacts, it is important that you are businesslike, outgoing, have good collaboration skills, are self-driven and flexible.

For this role, we also see that you master Swedish and English unhindered and have easy to express yourself in speech and writing.

At AFRY, we live by our values: "Brave - Devoted - Team players" which also says a lot about the person we are looking for!
