Join us in accelerating the transition to a sustainable society.
Job Description
Our region consists of nearly 1,200 employees who are driven by the goal of creating the sustainable infrastructure of the future. Perhaps you, too, are driven by development, innovation, and finding the right partnerships and clients who want to grow with our help.
Within the Road & Rail business area, nearly 1,100 specialists in Sweden work on our strategic sustainability services, assignments, and design projects, among other things. We have a highly valued work environment where we support and encourage one another and allow each other to grow.
AFRY has several exciting projects and framework agreements, which means we need to expand our team. The Land and Development Group currently consists of nine employees with expertise in land development, real estate law, surveying, GIS, land negotiations, and project management. We are based in Gothenburg, Trollhättan, and Malmö. Our projects span the entire country, with a focus on the Västra Götaland region. We are a modern and flexible workplace that offers the option of remote work. At AFRY, all employees working with land and development issues are part of a network where we participate in training, attend networking meetings, share experiences, and support one another with resources. Currently, the network consists of about twenty employees from across the country, with varying experience and backgrounds in the field of real estate law.
Regardless of your education or specialization as indicated in the job title, your work serves as a crucial link between individual property owners, municipalities, government agencies, and other stakeholders affected by our infrastructure projects. You will have a high degree of autonomy and may work on projects involving both new construction and reconstruction of roads and railways, as well as the development of land to be built on by a municipality or private developer.
You will also participate in the development of road plans, railway plans, and detailed plans; maintain contact with and inform property owners during the planning and implementation phases; handle valuation, negotiation, and contractual issues; and be responsible for property law and damage prevention matters. You must therefore be able to handle real estate law documents, such as drafting contracts.
The job involves frequent contact with others and occasional meetings outside of office hours, such as public consultation meetings, landowner meetings, and land surveying meetings.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in surveying/law, agronomy, or forestry, or a degree with a focus on real estate law, or other higher education combined with experience that we deem equivalent.
You have several years of relevant and up-to-date professional experience in real estate law matters. You may have gained this experience, for example, as a property manager, real estate developer, agronomist, forestry manager, land surveyor, cadastral surveyor, utility owner, real estate agent specializing in specialty properties, or in a similar role.
You also have experience with negotiation, contract management, and contract interpretation in the real estate sector, and you hold a driver’s license.
We consider it an asset if you:
Of course, you see yourself as a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge. You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in both Swedish and English. You want to help develop the business together with a large network of like-minded professionals and a group of fantastic colleagues. At AFRY, we live by our core values: “Brave – Devoted – Team players,” which also says a lot about the person we’re looking for!
Location: Trollhättan/Gothenburg/Malmö
