Job Description
Would you like to join us on our journey to help our national and international customers create safer and more reliable workplaces and production processes?
We’re currently looking for a driven machine safety specialist who is early in their career and wants to help develop and strengthen our growing team!
The demand for qualified support in machine safety is growing rapidly among our clients and we need to expand our team to meet these requests.
With us, you’ll have the opportunity to combine technology with problem-solving in the best possible way; our tasks vary widely and may include:
AFRY Safety
You’ll be part of AFRY Safety, with approximately 150 colleagues spread across some 30 locations in Sweden. We work on a variety of assignments in machine safety and related fields, ranging from smaller engagements to larger projects, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow based on your experience.
With us, you’ll combine your own professional development with supporting our clients in ensuring safe and effective machinery solutions. We value collaboration and diverse perspectives and offer an inclusive and professional environment where knowledge sharing is a natural part of everyday life. You’ll be supported by colleagues with broad expertise in areas such as occupational health and safety, risk management, process safety, fire protection, and civil protection and emergency preparedness—both in Sweden and throughout the Nordic region. We are One Team—where your expertise is put to good use and our collective efforts create value and solutions that truly make a difference.
The location is flexible. We have the opportunity to hire in several locations in southern Sweden, such as Malmö, Helsingborg, Lund, Hässleholm, Kristianstad, Karlshamn, Halmstad, or Varberg. The role may involve travel within and outside Sweden.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
The following are considered a plus for this role:
To thrive with us, we believe you are a team player with a strong interest in technology and a desire to build relationships, both internally and with customers. You are solution-oriented, flexible, and thrive in a role where you handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The role also involves responsibility for planning and organizing your work, managing the budget for your projects, and ensuring deliveries within agreed-upon timeframes. We’re looking for someone who is curious, takes initiative, and wants to grow and help drive our work forward.
We value personal integrity, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in technology. The role in machine safety places high demands on clear and trust-building communication. Therefore, you’ll be required to have excellent written and spoken proficiency in Swedish and English. Knowledge of Danish, Norwegian, or German is a plus.
For us, potential, commitment, and the right attitude are crucial. You don’t need to meet all the listed qualifications, but if you feel this role is a good fit for you and you want to grow with us, we’d love for you to submit your application.
If you want to help create real value for both our customers and our team, this is the role for you.
Additional Information
We look forward to receiving your application; the application deadline is August 21, 2026. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. As we’re heading into the summer season, it may take a little longer than usual for us to get back to you.
