Company Description

AFRY offers services in engineering, design, digitalization, and consulting. We are dedicated experts in industry, energy, and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has a global reach with deep roots in the Nordic region. Together, we are accelerating the transition to a more sustainable society.

Job Description

Do you want to drive the development of the future of maintenance? AFRY is growing in northern Sweden and is now looking for maintenance developers who want to help strengthen the industry’s competitiveness through smart, data-driven, and sustainable maintenance strategies. In this role, you’ll work to develop, streamline, and future-proof our clients’ maintenance operations. You’ll help create structures, work methods, and strategies that lead to higher operational reliability and lower costs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead maintenance projects and create and implement maintenance plans
  • Facilitate risk classification meetings and develop risk-based strategies
  • Work on optimizing maintenance strategies and preventive maintenance
  • Work on mapping and optimizing spare parts and expertise
  • Develop and improve maintenance processes and work methods
  • Conduct analyses and identify potential for improvement in customers’ operations
  • Support customers in the digitalization of maintenance (systems, data, analysis)
  • Conducting workshops and training sessions on maintenance and operational reliability

You’ll operate at the intersection of technology, operations, and strategy—where you’ll make a real difference for our customers.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing and improving maintenance work. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on long-term, strategic development initiatives, rather than being tied to day-to-day operations. You’ll play a key role in several projects related to business development, where you’ll help drive change and create sustainable solutions.

  • We believe that you:
  • Have experience in maintenance development, operational reliability, or process development
  • Understand industrial processes and maintenance as a business-critical function
  • Are analytical, structured, and enjoy driving change
  • Thrive in an advisory role with many points of contact
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English

Desirable:

  • Experience with methods such as RCM, FMECA, or criticality classification
  • Experience with improvement initiatives, LEAN, or business development
  • Experience with maintenance systems (SAP, Maximo, IFS, etc.)
  • Project management or change management
  • Background in the process industry
