Job Description
Would you like to work with advanced technology and help make complex products safe, understandable, and usable?
AFRY’s Technical Communication business segment is growing, and we’re now looking for a new colleague. With us, you’ll work alongside engineers and experts on technically challenging projects at some of Sweden’s most exciting technology companies. As a Technical Writer, you’ll be responsible for developing, updating, and quality-assuring technical documentation for advanced products and systems.
Qualifications
We believe you’re analytical, curious, and organized. You enjoy understanding how things work and thrive at the intersection of technology and communication. You’re confident in dialog with technical subject matter experts and can drive the information-gathering process until you have the material needed to create high-quality documentation. Understanding customers’ needs and focusing on solving their challenges is a natural part of your day-to-day work.
We are looking for someone who has:
At least three years of experience with technical information
Experience working with XML-based systems
Experience structuring information into standalone and reusable topics
Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is an asset if you have:
An engineering degree or equivalent technical experience
Experience in the automotive or defense industries
Experience with Simplified Technical English (STE)
Knowledge of S1000D
Security clearance and educational verification
Since we often work on security-classified assignments, this position may require a security clearance and background check prior to employment.
