Job description

On behalf of a client in Trollhättan, we are looking for a materials engineer for a materials and chemistry laboratory that works with everything from research and development to production support and problem solving. Here you get a broad and varied role where you contribute to analyzes, improvement work and technical investigations in close collaboration with both internal and external customers.

As a materials engineer, you work with chemical analyzes and material evaluations and support their processes through close collaboration with operators and technical specialists. You contribute both in daily operations and in development projects linked to new methods, capabilities and quality.

The tasks included in the role are (among others):

  • Prepare and analyze liquids and various materials such as powders, plastics and metals.
  • Document results and write technical reports.
  • Collaborate with process operators in, for example, surface treatment, test cells and workshops.
  • Participate in the development of new test methods, validation, safety work and capability studies.
  • Create and review procedures within quality and management systems.

Qualifications

You have:

  • An engineering degree in chemistry or equivalent skills.
  • Experience in laboratory work.
  • Good understanding of chemical analysis.
  • Experience working with IT tools such as MS Office and preferably laboratory related systems.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

  • Analytical, thorough and quality-conscious.
  • Team-oriented, flexible, with a positive personality.

It is meritorious if you:

  • Have knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes and materials technology.
  • Have experience of accredited quality or management systems.

To be considered for this position, you need to pass a security clearance in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
