Job description

We are now looking for an experienced measurement engineer.

With us, you will be part of a strong team that works widely in community development throughout the country. We work to create attractive and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients are municipalities, regions and government agencies as well as private actors.

You will run assignments together with your colleagues mainly in road and rail assignments. The assignments can vary in scope and be in the early stages of the planning process as well as in the later stages such as construction documents to the finished facility.

As a technical manager, you will have a central role in the projects. You are responsible for the budget, schedule, quality and technical design within your discipline - from planning to implementation. Common to all types of assignments is that you lead and plan the technical area including field work. You will support other consultants and sub-consultants and ensure that our deliverables meet the client's requirements and technical standards.

In your role, you will work closely with the client, other technical areas and various stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the projects.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

We see that you have at least five years of experience in measurement technology and at least a few years of experience in the role of technology manager in infrastructure and construction projects.

Good knowledge of the basics of measurement technology such as detailed measurement and master networks from different environments is a prerequisite. Travel is a natural part of the position, and you are expected to travel regularly in the work.

You have good skills in project financial follow-up, work in a businesslike manner and have experience in budget management and financial control of projects. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the laws, standards and technical guidelines that govern the industry, and that you can ensure that our projects comply with current regulations and maintain high technical quality.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing, as you will collaborate with both national and international actors.

As we work continuously with international partners, it is meritorious if you have experience of managing employees in other countries.

Traffic authority certification for measurement I and II is meritorious.

At AFRY, we see ourselves as brave and dedicated team players, something we hope you recognize yourself in.

As a person, you are business-minded, thorough and communicative, with a good ability to lead your team towards set goals. You thrive in an environment characterized by learning and personal development, where you share your knowledge and experience.
