As a consultant in our dynamic business area for product development, you get a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of future products and solutions at some of Sweden's most prominent and exciting companies.

As a mechanical engineer, there is a great variety in the nature of the assignments. In some assignments, you are involved in project development from start to finish. In other assignments, you strengthen the customer's competence in specific areas or work with product care. The assignments vary over time and we carry out assignments both on site at the customer and in our own premises.
You will be based at AFRY's office in Västerås and/or the client's premises. In the long term, there may be an opportunity to work remotely. 

Qualifications

The applicant has:

• An engineering degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or mechanical design
• Very good knowledge of CAD tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks or Creo or similar 
• Experience of working in PLM systems and used to working in a structured way with product data
• Experience of calculating & dimensioning and working with product care 
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• B-driving license

Personal qualities: We are looking for you who are self-driven, have a strong drive and are confident in taking responsibility for customers. You are communicative, easy to build relationships and can handle training and knowledge transfer in an educational way. You are unpretentious, solution-oriented and actively contribute to a positive and businesslike collaboration both internally and externally.
