As a consultant in our dynamic product development business unit, you’ll have a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of tomorrow’s products and solutions at some of Sweden’s most prominent and exciting companies.

As a mechanical engineer, the nature of your assignments will vary widely. In some assignments, you’ll be involved in project development from start to finish. In others, you’ll strengthen the client’s expertise in specific areas or work on product maintenance. Assignments vary over time, and we carry them out both on-site at the client’s location and at our own offices. You’ll be based at AFRY’s office in Västerås and/or at the client’s premises.

Qualifications

Your background:

• You hold an engineering degree, for example in mechanical engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in product development or mechanical design
• You have very strong proficiency in CAD tools such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo
• Experience working with PLM systems and a habit of working in a structured manner with product data
• Experience with calculations, dimensioning, and product maintenance 
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Class B driver’s license
