Job description

AFRY's Advanced Manufacturing business area has in recent years successfully delivered several large turnkey projects of advanced production equipment and has the expertise needed for technology-intensive automation projects; from mechanical and electrical design to PLC and Robot programming. We have project groups throughout the country; from Umeå in the north to Olofström in the south. Digitization and large systems are one of our main strengths.

We also support our customers with the construction of mechanical solutions. This is carried out on site at our office but it can also occur that you have a time-limited placement with the customer.

We are now looking for you who want to work in our team in Trollhättan

To our team, we now want to grow with an experienced mechanical designer who can be responsible for designs in our projects towards the customer. Examples of assignments are grippers and peripheral equipment for robot cells such as turning stations, conveyors, vertical conveyors and more. In the projects, you participate in, among other things, the development of concepts, finished manufacturing documents and quotes / calculations until the plant is commissioned and handed over to the customer.

Some examples of tasks are:

• Design and calculate equipment.
• Design Layout and be responsible for mechanical documentation.
• Participate and sometimes lead installation work.
• Purchase and orders for projects.
• Manage item/spare parts lists.
• Quotes and costing documents.
• Create system and functional descriptions.

In our section, assignments occur both on site at the customer and on site at our office, our business delivers turnkey projects with a focus on customized applications we build and commission our projects before delivery to the customer.

Qualifications

You are a mechanical engineer with several years of experience in construction. We see it as a merit if you have experience in robotic automation.

In other words, we believe that you have gained experience in projects where both your creativity and problem-solving skills have been put to the test at regular intervals. In this role, you need to be creative, but you also sometimes need to be a bit square and create a clear structure in our projects. It's also important to develop solutions and concepts that are in line with the current calculation.

You want to deliver a design solution where you are just as proud that the technical solution meets design standards and customer requirements as that the concept has been made cost-effective and that the schedule has been kept. As a person, we believe that you are driven, curious and confident in taking your own initiatives and decisions.

You have good knowledge of Swedish and English both in speech and writing. For the position, you are also required to have a B driving license and that you have the opportunity to travel in the service as this occurs.
