Job description

For our client in Trollhättan, we are now looking for a Metallographer/Materials Engineer who will conduct material technical analysis studies and build a good dialogue with customers and operators to support their processes. 

Main tasks  

The position includes the following responsibilities:

• Sample preparation and testing using various cutting, molding and polishing equipment to provide data for materials engineers to evaluate samples
• Prepare and support microscopy examinations and documentation of results in reports of thermally sprayed, printed or metallographic samples 
• Continuous improvement work with colleagues in the other areas of the materials laboratory and materials/process research 
• Instrument development and quality assurance

We are looking for someone who is comfortable taking on a lot of individual responsibility while being part of a team. You should be comfortable communicating with others both internally and externally. You have the ability to take on tasks and deliver according to agreed plans and goals.

Requirements for the position are:

• Technical background and preferably a master's degree in materials engineering
• Interest in laboratory and inspection environment 
• Knowledge in IT tools such as Microsoft Office and preferably in materials or Lab systems
• Speaking and writing skills in both English and Swedish
