Job Description

At AFRY, we bring together engineers, project managers, and consultants who want to contribute to the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient society. With us, you’ll have the opportunity to grow as you help our clients create the change they need. We believe in the power of collaboration and diverse perspectives. You’ll find an inclusive and professional environment where collaboration and knowledge sharing are second nature. You’ll work with skilled and engaging colleagues who, together with you, will create better solutions for our clients.

We’re looking for an experienced project manager who wants to help lead complex projects in construction, real estate, and infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and monitoring projects from the early stages through to completion—with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and strong collaboration with the client.

You’ll work closely with our clients—often in public sector organizations—and play a key role in ensuring that projects are carried out in a structured and efficient manner in accordance with established goals.

As a project manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and leading projects throughout the entire process—from start to finish
  • Managing project timelines, costs, and quality
  • Serve as the client’s primary point of contact and advisor
  • Coordinate the project’s various disciplines and stakeholders
  • Ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with agreements, requirements, and regulations
  • Contribute to business development and identify new projects

Qualifications

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a project manager or in an equivalent role
  • Documented experience from infrastructure or construction projects
  • Relevant technical college or university degree
  • Good command of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Class B driver’s license

Desirable

  • Experience working with public clients (e.g., government agency, municipality, region, or national government)
  • Experience with procurement under the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
  • Certifications in project management
  • Experience in roles such as quality control manager, construction manager, or design manager

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, we expect you to:

  • Be organized and enjoy driving progress together with others
  • Be confident in leadership and have strong collaboration skills
  • Communicate clearly and build long-term relationships
  • Are business-minded and results-oriented
  • Take responsibility and act proactively in challenging situations
