Company description

AFRY offers services in engineering, design, digitalization and consulting. We are dedicated experts in industry, energy and infrastructure, creating value for future generations. AFRY has Nordic roots with global reach. Job description

Do you want to be part of shaping the sustainable society of the future? Then AFRY is the place for you!

With us, you will be part of a committed team that works broadly with community development. We are driven by creating attractive, inclusive and sustainable cities and communities. Our clients are municipalities, regions and government agencies, but also private actors.

As a project manager, you are a central person in the projects. You are responsible for budget, schedule, quality and delivery on time - from planning to implementation. The role also involves leading and supporting other consultants and ensuring that our deliverables meet client requirements and technical standards. The assignments vary from smaller local projects to larger, long-term and complex assignments that span several years

In your role, you work closely with the customer, other technical areas and various stakeholders to create integrated and sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the projects.

You will be based in one of our offices in Örebro, Västerås or Uppsala.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university degree or civil engineering degree in civil engineering, or who have equivalent relevant work experience. You have at least five years of experience as a project manager or project leader, have worked in multidisciplinary projects and want to take a more senior role in leading complex projects and mentoring others.

You have good financial and business skills and experience in managing budgets and resources with good financial insight. We also expect you to have good knowledge of the laws, standards and technical guidelines that govern the industry, and that you can ensure that our projects comply with current regulations and maintain high technical quality.

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing, as you will work with both national and international actors.

As we work continuously with international partners, it is an advantage if you have experience of managing employees in other countries.

Further information

As a consultant with us, you will never be alone in your assignment. You'll join an organization where strong teamwork, open knowledge-sharing spaces and a broad professional network are a given.

You'll have access to experienced colleagues, specialist expertise, mentorship and multiple internal networks to help you grow - both in your role and in your projects. Whether you need a sounding board, technical expertise, methodological support or just someone to discuss ideas with, the support structures are already in place.

We believe that a consultant's strength comes from the combination of personal drive and a secure base to lean on. That is why we offer:

  • Support from a dedicated team that follows you through all phases of the assignment
  • Multiple competence networks where you meet colleagues with similar focus areas
  • A culture that encourages collaboration, learning and generosity
  • Access to both local and national networks, so you can always find the right skills near you

With us, you are part of something bigger - a context where your ideas are taken into account, where you can develop and where we together create the best possible delivery to our customers.
