Job description

We have a great need for more pipes and plant designers for our Plant Design department, Process Industries division in Örnsköldsvik.

As a pipe and plant designer with us at AFRY, you get the opportunity to work with the construction of industrial plants and products, which includes tasks such as procurement, request documents for pipe installations, process optimization, flow charts, equipment lists, layouts, isometrics, material specifications and calculations. All project phases occur such as preliminary studies, preliminary projects, implementation as well as assembly coordination and check-out.

Our planning is mainly carried out with 3D modeling together with laser scanning.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you with experience in pipe and plant construction and who is interested in developing and sees the consultant role as a good way to do it. To thrive in the role, we believe that you are curious and have a willingness and ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new organizations, working methods and social contexts. As a person, you are structured, meticulous and have a high sense of responsibility.

In addition to this, we wish you to have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in pipe and plant construction within the process industry.
  • Knowledge of any CAD tool, such as Plant 3D, Aveva PDMS/E3D, Cadmatic and/or Autocad 2D.
  • The ability to communicate in both Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • B driver's license.

It is advantageous if you have a background of running your own assignments and if you have experience from the process industry, chemical industry and/or the paper mill industry.
