AFRY's Process Industries Division with one of its business areas in Sweden supports the process industry in many sectors such as Mining & Metals, Pulp & Paper, Chemicals & Biorefining as well as growth sectors such as Battery, Power to X, and others. In Sweden, AFRY has offices in more than 90 locations, in the business area Process Industries Sweden we are with our 1000 team players in over 40 of these. This makes us a local partner in combination with our reach and collaboration with colleagues and clients globally. Our service offering covers the entire life cycle and value chain of the customer's business. We are involved from early project development phases to large CAPEX implementation projects to operational resource and specialist support. Through our unique combination of process technology expertise, project management and multidisciplinary engineering expertise mixed with specialists in digitalization, maintenance, sustainability (environment, health, safety), we create added value to our clients.

AFRY Process Industries is growing and getting more and more large projects. We therefore need to expand our operations with more experienced resources in Plant Design in Luleå and Piteå.

As a Pipe & Plant Designer, you will work in piping, HVAC and project coordination. The assignments can vary from being a one-man assignment where you are responsible for and carry out the detailed design yourself or as a leading designer in larger projects where the distribution of tasks, follow-up for your discipline and coordination with others are included. All project phases occur as feasibility studies, preliminary projects, calculations, implementation and assembly coordination and check-out. You investigate, dimension, calculate, model and document industrial plants as well as create inquiry documents, manufacturing documents and act as customer support.

Qualifications

As a person, you are communicative, driven and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in social contexts and are passionate about teamwork where we can achieve great results together!

• You probably have a college or university degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
• It is an advantage if you have worked as a designer in Pipe & Plant Design or mechanical designer, designer or project manager for a number of years and are familiar with the industry's current directives and standards. Preferably in the process industry.
• You preferably have your own network of contacts with customers and suppliers in the region.
• We see that you value a good business approach as our contact areas, both internally and externally, are based on cooperation and good relationships.
• You are used to working in different CAD environments.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
• You are flexible and have a B-driving license as travel to our customers for shorter / longer periods may occur.
