Job Description

We need to strengthen our teams in Skellefteå with more experienced and creative employees. Do you have experience in mechanical or piping & plant design? Are you ready to share your expertise? In return, we promise you an innovative environment that you’ll share with like-minded colleagues.     With us, you’ll work on a wide variety of projects, which we believe will provide you with highly inspiring and varied work. The majority of projects are conducted in-house, but we also have projects where you’ll work on-site at client locations. In addition to your assignments, we make sure to foster networking and a positive work environment through social and professional development activities, as well as spontaneous get-togethers like group lunches and shared breakfasts. Collaborating and interacting with other business areas at AFRY is a given for us.     As a Piping & Civil Engineering Designer with us, you’ll work on everything from idea and concept development to delivering finished installations to our clients.

One of the advantages of working at AFRY compared to many other companies is the opportunity to work on everything from small, client-focused projects to large multidisciplinary projects, which gives you greater opportunities to develop in the areas that feel most exciting for your personal growth.

Qualifications

We believe you are someone who thrives on collaboration and enjoys taking responsibility—both technically and in your interactions with clients. We’d like you to have:

  • A college or university degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Piping & Plant Design, mechanical design, or similar—preferably within the process industry
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards and directives
  • Experience working in various CAD environments
  • Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Class B driver’s license and flexibility for on-site client assignments

Desirable

  • Several years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience as a project manager or lead designer
  • An established network of clients and suppliers in the region
