Job description

We are looking for a new colleague to join the Cost & Construction Management section within our Advisory market area.

The Advisory market area is to be at our customers' side and help them with their biggest challenges in the various stages of the construction process. We do this in our specialist areas of Information Excellence, Projects Solutions, Energy & Sustainable Building, Cost Management and Construction Management.

AFRY Cost & Construction Management is the market leader in Sweden in cost estimates and financial management of projects, in civil engineering, construction and installation. We perform approximately 500 assignments annually consisting of consulting, cost assessments, calculations, cost management, cost follow-up, cost control and cost efficiency. Our work enables cost optimization and creates predictability for our customers and their finances.

Now we are looking for a Project Engineer for the Cost & Construction Management department with a location in one of our offices in Skåne.

You will join us in developing the organization and enable new positioning in the market. Within our market area, we are all passionate about our areas and share our knowledge to grow and learn more.

In the role of Project Engineer, you will drive assignments in your area of expertise. Through analysis and calculations, you are a trusted advisor to our customers, such as developers, investors and contractors so that informed decisions can be made. In your role, you work with everything from cost assessments in early stages, cost control in the design phase, cost and risk-integrated design, financial follow-up in projects, project procurement to identifying and managing risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who want to take the next step in your personal development and have experience from the construction industry. You are likely to come from the client, consultant or contractor side and have worked as a project manager, site manager, contract engineer or estimator. You have previous experience with a costing tool and quantity take-off programs, such as BidCon and Bluebeam. You also have knowledge and a great interest in sustainability as we work with our tools to control and reduce climate impact as a natural part of the projects we work with.

As a person, you have good social skills and are stimulated by having a large contact network where you create long-term and sustainable relationships. Furthermore, we see that you are careful and have the ability to see both details and the whole. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to work independently. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and in writing, as it is requested by our customers and a B-driving license.
