We are looking for a new colleague to join the Cost & Construction Management section within our Advisory business area.
The Advisory business area focuses on supporting our clients and helping them tackle their biggest challenges at every stage of the construction process. We do this within our areas of expertise: Information Excellence, Project Solutions, Energy & Sustainable Building, and Cost & Construction Management.
AFRY Cost & Construction Management is the market leader in Sweden in cost estimation and financial management of projects, covering civil engineering, construction, and installation. Each year, we carry out approximately 500 assignments consisting of consulting, cost estimates, cost calculations, cost management, cost monitoring, cost control, and cost optimization. Our work enables cost optimization and creates predictability for our clients and their finances.

We are now seeking a Project Engineer for the Cost & Construction Management division.
Together with us, you’ll help develop the organization and enable new market positioning. Within our market area, we’re all passionate about our fields and share our knowledge to grow and learn more.
In the role of Project Engineer, you will lead projects within your area of expertise. Through analyses and calculations, you will serve as a trusted advisor to our clients—such as developers, investors, and contractors—enabling them to make well-informed decisions. In this role, you’ll work on everything from early-stage cost estimates and cost control during the design phase to financial monitoring of projects, project procurement, and identifying and managing risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who wants to take the next step in their personal development and has experience in the construction industry. You likely come from a client, consulting, or contracting background and have worked as a project manager, site manager, construction engineer, or cost engineer. You have prior experience with cost estimation tools and quantity take-off software, such as BidCon and Bluebeam. You also have knowledge of and a strong interest in sustainability, as we use our tools to manage and reduce climate impact as an integral part of the projects we work on.
As a person, you have strong interpersonal skills and are motivated by maintaining a broad network of contacts through which you build long-lasting and sustainable relationships. Furthermore, we look for someone who is meticulous and has the ability to see both the details and the big picture. You enjoy working in a team but are also capable of working independently. You have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as this is required by our clients, and you hold a Class B driver’s license.
