Job Description

Hydro power in Sweden is under development and we are now in an expansive development phase in collaboration with other renewable energy and production sources. We are an international consulting company where we at AFRY Hydro are over 600 hydropower engineers with extensive experience in the year. We are now continuing our growth journey and are now looking for you who want to be involved in driving the development in the field, in the role of project manager / construction manager with us!

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the larger projects and participate in the inspection and permit assessment of construction works.

You will have the opportunity to perform advanced calculations in construction, design action proposals and repair plans, as well as participate during construction and assist in the work of site follow-up. You will be part of a team that today consists of project managers, construction managers, investigators/designers and specialists with broad experience in the field.

Part of the role also consists of actively marketing and selling, your own, the section's and the company's expertise. In order for the section to continue to develop, we also see mentoring and supervision as an important part of the role where you support and guide colleagues. As a project manager, you will be a key person with plenty of opportunities to influence and make a difference both in the projects and in the daily operations. Together with other areas within AFRY, you will be involved in running successful projects and contribute to our continued growth and success. The majority of the work is carried out in our office, but travel is a natural part of the service, e.g. during the implementation phase of projects.

As you will be working on several projects at the same time, it is also important that you have a good ability to plan and structure your work.

Furthermore, we see that you have

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in running construction projects in industry
  • Previous construction experience
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English as the languages are used frequently both at AFRY and our customers
  • B-.driving license as travel is a natural part of the service

It is meritorious if you have

  • Experience in the energy industry
  • Experience working with concrete and/or steel  
  • Completed the RIDAS 2 week course
  • Experience in construction law and construction inspections
