Job description
Grid Integration, Substation & Distribution (GISD) is part of AFRY's Transmission & Distribution business in Sweden. We are over 140 electric power specialists working together across the country on grid projects - from transmission networks to local distribution - contributing to the development of the electrified society of the future.
Do you want to lead projects that expand and strengthen Sweden's electricity grid? We are looking for a project manager who wants to work with complex and socially critical projects in regional networks and high-voltage facilities. With us, you will work in a technically strong consulting environment where you will have the confidence to lead projects and contribute to the development of the electricity grid of the future.
As a consultant and project manager, you work closely with our customers and are responsible for projects in the construction of stations and line projects at 130 kV and higher voltage levels. You drive the projects through the entire process - from early investigations and design to completed and commissioned facilities.
In the role, you are responsible for the implementation of the projects with a focus on planning, schedule, finance and quality. You coordinate the work between specialists in electrical power, construction, land and construction as well as external contractors and network owners. You lead project and construction meetings, manage procurement and contracts, and ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with applicable standards, regulations and ESA/ELSÄK.
The role also means that you manage risks, changes and deviations during the course of the projects and are responsible for documentation, reporting and dialogue with customers, authorities and internal competence teams.
With us, you get to work with technically advanced projects in an industry that is at the center of the energy transition. You will be part of a consulting environment with competent colleagues and good opportunities for skills development. At the same time, you will have great freedom to influence both your own development and how the assignments are carried out.
The service can be based in Luleå, Solna or Sundsvall.
Qualifications
We see that you who apply have:
It is meritorious if you have experience of station equipment such as primary devices, control facilities, transformers and relay protection, as well as if you have worked with permit processes, land or environmental issues. Certification in project management, such as IPMA, PMI or PRINCE2, is an advantage, as is previous experience in the role of consultant or contractor.
As a person, you are businesslike, self-driven and confident in a project management role. You work in a structured and quality-conscious manner, build trusting customer relationships and collaborate unpretentiously with colleagues. You are solution-oriented and communicative with a clear focus on delivery and customer value.
