Job Description

We are a team specializing in the design of electrical and telecommunications installations in buildings. Our team is based in the real estate sector and is part of AFRY’s global Places segment, while also working closely with our colleagues in the global Industry and Energy segments. We work locally but are also part of both a national and international network of skilled colleagues. For us, community, collaboration, and knowledge sharing are central parts of our daily work. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in exciting projects in areas such as hospitals, public facilities, and commercial properties.

As a Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and executing design projects for electrical, telecommunications, and security systems.
  • Managing client contact and maintaining ongoing client dialogue.
  • Planning and leading assignments, as well as allocating work within the project team.
  • Preparing technical documents, studies, and design specifications.
  • Coordinating technical solutions with clients, other technical disciplines, and contractors.
  • Be responsible for staffing as well as planning assignments and resources.
  • Be responsible for finances, budget, forecasts, and quality in the assignment.
  • Monitor the schedule, costs, and scope.
  • Manage changes, risks, and opportunities within the project.
  • Document decisions and agreements with the client.
  • Contribute to business development and build long-term client relationships.
  • Coordinate across different disciplines and internal resources.
  • Ensure that the right specialist expertise is brought in as needed.

This role is based in Varberg. There is the option to combine working from the office and from home, in consultation with your manager and based on the needs of the assignment and the team.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience as a consultant in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in design or project management of electrical, telecommunications, and security systems. You have worked on construction and real estate projects and are accustomed to taking responsibility throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the early stages to final delivery. You enjoy customer interactions, collaboration, and delivering high-quality technical solutions.

To succeed in this role, we’d like you to have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in electrical engineering, power engineering, installation technology, or equivalent
  • Experience with customer interactions and coordination in construction and real estate projects
  • Experience leading assignments and coordinating project teams
  • Experience with digital design and document management, as well as working in modern design and collaboration environments
  • The ability to work independently with a focus on quality, business acumen, and customer value.
  • Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

  • Client management in consulting
  • Design and technical consulting for complex building and civil engineering projects
  • Work in public facilities, commercial real estate, hospitals, residential properties, or other mission-critical infrastructure
  • Design, integration, and coordination of electrical, telecommunications, and security systems
  • Collaboration on multidisciplinary projects with other technical disciplines and external stakeholders
  • Inspections, technical investigations, analyses, or verification of technical solutions
  • Sizing, calculations, and technical system optimization
  • Business development and bid preparation
  • Work in accordance with relevant legal requirements, standards, regulations, or industry practices
  • International projects or collaboration in environments where English is the working language

The following are particularly advantageous:

  • Advanced education or specialized expertise in electrical power, telecommunications, security systems, or project management
  • Relevant certifications, qualifications, or authorizations in the field of engineering
  • Experience leading technical specialist teams or coordinating complex design projects
