Job description
Grid Integration, Substation & Distribution (GISD) is part of AFRY's Transmission & Distribution business in Sweden. We are over 140 electric power specialists working together across the country on grid projects - from transmission networks to local distribution - contributing to the development of the electrified society of the future. We are now strengthening our expertise in the station area and are looking for an assignment manager who wants to be involved in developing our Substation business in the region.
At GISD, we work with projects linked to the development and reinforcement of electricity network facilities, where our three technology areas together contribute to the implementation of future electricity network projects. As an assignment manager with us, you are responsible for leading and coordinating assignments in station projects - from early investigations and feasibility studies to project planning and final documentation.
In the role, you ensure progress, finances, quality and delivery in the assignments in close dialog with customers and project teams. You contribute to a structured implementation while helping to develop our station operations within GISD North-East.
The role suits you who are confident in taking responsibility for your own assignments and who want to continue to develop in a consulting role where technology, collaboration and delivery are in focus.
The service can be based in Bollnäs, Kalmar, Norrköping, Solna, Sundsvall, Umeå, Visby or Östersund.
Qualifications
We see that you who apply have:
At least 5 years of experience in the electric power industry with a focus on stations
Experience in independently leading technical assignments with responsibility for delivery, schedule, finance and quality
Post-secondary education in electric power, energy or equivalent technical background
Very good Swedish and English in speech and writing
B driving license
It is meritorious if you have experience of leading projects in regional or transmission networks, as well as if you have worked in consulting and are used to taking responsibility for schedule, finance and delivery. If you have also been involved in developing technical activities or have knowledge of contract forms such as AB, ABT and AMA, it is an extra plus.
As a person, you are businesslike, self-driven and confident in an assignment management role. You work in a structured and quality-conscious manner, build trusting customer relationships and collaborate unpretentiously with colleagues. You are solution-oriented and communicative with a clear focus on customer value and delivery.
