Job description

Do you want to lead complex and socially important projects where the right holistic approach determines the outcome? At AFRY, we are looking for a project manager who can confidently step in as general consultant - from early stages to construction start - and coordinate interdisciplinary teams to create robust, sustainable and reliable solutions for healthcare and defense.

As a project manager with us, you take overall responsibility for the design and lead the work across several technical areas. You:

• Act as a general consultant with responsibility for the whole - coordination, time management, cost control, quality management and management of own and external sub-consultants.
• Lead multidisciplinary design teams (e.g. architecture, construction, plumbing, electrical/automation, logistics) and drive effective collaboration towards common goals in complex projects.
• Drives the process from early stage to construction document and handover - ensuring requirements are met throughout the design process.
• Contributes to tender work and business development and develops long-term client relationships together with AFRY's technical specialists.
• Coordinates contacts with authorities and procurements, and may also include construction management support when needed.
• Works data-driven (e.g. with BIM) to increase precision, speed and consensus in design.
• Integrates sustainability and cost management so that design decisions balance function, climate and life cycle cost.

Qualifications

We believe that you:

• Have at least 5 years experience in design management in large or complex construction/facility projects and enjoy taking overall responsibility as a general consultant.
• Has a proven ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, create structure and consensus at all stages of the design process.
• Has experience from the consulting role with business and technical assignment responsibility, including tender work.
• Master BIM and digital working methods in project planning.
• Express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing.
• It is meritorious if you have experience of hospital/care environments or safety-classified facilities and knowledge of LOU, ABK and AMA.
