Job Description

Would you like to lead some of Sweden’s most exciting industrial projects while developing business, clients, and people?

At AFRY, we’re now looking for an experienced project manager who wants to help drive complex projects in the process industry. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to combine technical leadership with business development in a role where you’ll have significant influence over projects, clients, and your own professional growth.

As a Project Manager at AFRY, you’ll be part of our local PMO within Project Service in Gothenburg. We work closely with clients in the process industry and petrochemicals along the West Coast, while also managing projects throughout the country.

You will lead multidisciplinary projects, coordinating specialists in areas such as process engineering, electrical engineering, automation, mechanical engineering, piping, water and wastewater, procurement, and project management. The role also involves developing business and building long-term client relationships.

You’ll play a key role in our continued growth, where you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead and execute investment and industrial projects.
• Develop existing client relationships and generate new business.
• Contribute to the development of our project management offerings.
• Support and coach colleagues in project management.
• Help shape the department’s future development and expansion.

We offer flexibility with locations in Gothenburg, Stenungsund, or Uddevalla, depending on what suits you best.

Qualifications

We believe you thrive in a consulting role and are motivated by achieving results through people, business, and projects. You are a confident leader who can take projects from concept to completion while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

To succeed in this role, we look for the following:

• At least 5 years of project management experience in the process industry or petrochemicals.
• Experience with multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience with EPC/EPCM projects in the range of 10–100 MSEK.
• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Swedish and English.
• A Class B driver’s license.

Desirable

• Certification in PMI, IPMA, Prince2, or similar.
• Experience in sales and business development.
• Established network within the process industry.
• Previous experience in human resources or leadership.
• Experience with turnarounds or maintenance shutdowns.
