Job description

AFRY Nuclear Sweden focuses on nuclear power where assignments in plant development, maintenance, radiation safety, safety analyses, decommissioning and technical investigations as well as project management are our everyday life. We have a unique position of trust in our market, and often work in very close collaboration with our customers.

We now have a need to strengthen our group with a radiophysicist for consulting assignments in the nuclear power industry. You will write instructions and reports, participate in the commissioning of new analytical instruments and control and calibration. You will also develop methods for radiochemical measurements of material samples.

You will work in close collaboration with other people with expertise in a variety of areas. You will have the opportunity to develop as a radiophysicist and the chance for a dynamic work with various exciting assignments in a current and stable industry.

To succeed in the role, you need the following experience and background:

  • University or college education in chemistry, radiophysics or hospital physics
  • Knowledge of radiological measurement technology
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing as both languages are frequently used within AFRY and with our customers
  • B-driving license as travel is a natural part of the service

We see this as a merit:

  • Experience with gamma spectroscopic measurements
  • Experience with gamma measurement software, such as GammaVision, Angle and Lwis or similar
  • Experience from working in a nuclear facility

In this role you will be based in our office in either Oskarshamn or Kalmar. Travel to our customers' nuclear facilities occurs on a daily basis.

As the position operates within ssafety classified areas, you will undergossafety exercises before employment can be taken up.
