Job Description

Do you want to help build the future of requirements management and structuring? We are looking for a Requirements Tooling Engineer – a key person who drives how we work with requirements, tooling, and structure, from the ground up and moving forward.

This is not a traditional requirements role. You won’t just write or review requirements—you’ll shape the entire system around them.

About the role;

Here, you’ll have a hybrid role where you combine several skills:

• Requirements engineer
• Tooling developer
• Systems thinker

You will:

• Build and improve tools and structures for requirements management
• Ensure traceability and quality throughout the requirements flow
• Automate and streamline how requirements are created, validated, and used
• Create a clear link between requirements, implementation, and testing

You will work hands-on with tools and structures, not as a Product Owner or project manager.

Qualifications

Must-haves (Non-negotiable)

🔹 Requirements & structure (hands-on)

You have experience with:

• Requirements decomposition
• System requirements and specifications
• Traceability

You work operationally – not just at a high-level

🔹 Requirements tooling (critical component)

You have experience with at least one of the following:

• Sphinx Needs (preferred)
• SystemWeaver
• DOORS
• Jama or similar

And you have actively:

• Set up
• Structured
• Improved

This is one of our biggest areas of development

🔹 Python & scripting

You can:

• Build your own tools
• Automate requirements workflows
• Validate data

You use Python as a tool for structure and automation

🔹 System & configuration thinking

You have worked with:

• System configuration
• Properties / parameters
• Consistency validation

Essential for building sustainable and scalable requirements management

🔹 Understanding of development & testing

You understand:

• How requirements are used in implementation
• How they are verified and tested

You can connect the entire V-model

Strongly preferred

• Experience with Sphinx + Markdown + PlantUML
• Built requirements portals or documentation solutions
• Worked with automated traceability
• Background in automotive or embedded systems
