Sales Manager to AFRY

We are now looking for a Sales Manager who wants to be part of accelerating the transformation of the food sector. You will play a crucial role in driving the business forward and creating value for our clients and society at large.

About the role

As a Sales Manager at AFRY Food Sweden, you will have significant commercial responsibility - you will lead the sales effort with a focus on adapting our business models to client needs, from fixed price projects to flexible consulting solutions. You work closely with our customers in strategic conversations and are central to forming new business relationships and developing our market position.

You also lead a smaller sales team and thus have staff responsibility, with the task of supporting, developing and following up the team's work and goal achievement.

In this role, you can start from one of our larger offices in Stockholm, Malmö or Gothenburg.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain customer relationships, identify customer needs and build strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential customers
  • Lead and develop sales towards Swedish food players - by selecting key customers, finding new business opportunities and driving our market outreach based on AFRY's growth targets
  • Responsible for analyzing and communicating market trends and customer needs to develop new service offerings
  • Be involved in sales of technically complex projects, including investment projects (CAPEX) where we build new production facilities or upgrade existing ones
  • Drive business with good negotiation skills and understanding of commercial and legal aspects, including tender and contract negotiations
  • Manage and negotiate contractual terms in consultation with internal legal resources and understand different legal platforms and business frameworks governing project delivery in the food sector

Qualifications

We would like you to have:

  • Solid experience in sales and business development in the food industry, preferably with experience from leading roles in the food, process or biotech industry, and have driven investment projects both in Sweden and internationally.
  • Strong understanding of business-critical decisions linked to different business models, tendering processes and financial follow-up.
  • Good insight into certifications, hygiene requirements and regulatory issues in food production.
  • Experience in CAPEX projects, scaling up production and project management of new facilities.
  • Experience in foodtech or biotech is seen as meritorious, especially if you worked in fast-changing environments such as startups or innovation projects.
  • International experience and experience working with global clients and partners is a plus.
  • Ability to lead a sales team, create engagement and set a common direction for business work
