At AFRY Advanced Automation in Stockholm, we continue to grow - and now we want to become more! We are specialists in industrial automation and deliver smart, customized solutions to both private and public customers. Here you get to work in technology-intensive assignments that really make a difference - for real. 

Your role - where ideas become reality  As an automation engineer with us, you will be a central player throughout the project journey: from the first sketch and system idea to final commissioning. You'll work closely with our customers, helping to shape the solutions that drive their businesses forward. It's this variety that makes the job both challenging and incredibly fulfilling.

You will work with, among other things: 

• Programming in DCS, PLC and SCADA 
• Troubleshooting and problem solving at a high technical level 
• Documentation and quality assurance of your solutions 
• Technical advice and customer dialog, where you become the customer's closest technical partner 

You work both with our customers and in our own in-house projects - perfect for those who like to vary the pace, environment and tasks. 

A project we are particularly proud of 

Right now we are helping to rebuild one of Stockholm's wastewater treatment plants to become one of the world's most modern. The new plant uses advanced membrane technology to increase capacity and meet future environmental requirements.  

AFRY is responsible for all electrical construction and automation - and around 25 employees from our Stockholm offices are working on the project every day. 

We have several similar projects underway, which is why we are looking for a senior automation engineer who wants to help drive the work forward, based in Solna or Södertälje.

Qualifications

Since you will be working on finding solutions to advanced problems, we would like you to enjoy problem solving. In addition to this, you are interested in developing yourself and helping to develop your colleagues and customers. It is important that you thrive and have fun at work, which is why we attach great importance to your personal qualities. To thrive with us, we believe that you are flexible and have the ability to work on several projects at the same time. You also have: 

• Relevant education in the field or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in design projects of new process plants.
• Many years of experience as an automation engineer and good knowledge of working in Siemens software, specifically SIMATIC PCS 7 is highly meritorious.Experience of other DCS/PLC/SCADA is also relevant and interesting for the position. 
• Have a B-driving license as traveling in periods is a natural part of your role. 
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
