Job description

As an Electrical Design Engineer at AFRY, you will work with the entire chain of electrical design for industrial projects. The role means that you produce electrical documentation, circuit diagrams, cable and connection lists and material specifications in CAD tools such as Eplan or Elprocad. You will be an important part of the project team and be responsible for the electrical design part, which requires close cooperation with automation engineers and project managers. The work is mainly done at AFRY's office in Kalmar or at the customer site, with some possibility of working from home. You will be supported by your manager and colleagues and have access to AFRY's broad network of specialists. In the long term, there are good development opportunities - for example, to immerse yourself in advanced electrical design, take on the role of system engineer or project manager, and develop as a consultant with a holistic perspective in customer assignments. 

Qualifications

To be successful in the role of "electrical designer", you need to have a problem-solving approach where you can quickly identify the causes of problems in complex electrical designs, analyze different solution options and choose the most effective way forward. You'll be businesslike and structured, which means you'll plan and organize your work, keeping drawings and documentation in order, and ensuring that the project follows agreed requirements, schedule and budget. The role also requires you to be ambitious - you'll take responsibility for driving tasks forward, actively seeking improvements and keeping up to date with new technologies. Finally, it is important that you are a team player who works closely with colleagues and customers, shares knowledge and contributes to a good working climate. 

Meritande 

• Knowledge of standards for Safe Machinery 
• Experience of more electrical design tools 
• Knowledge/experience of programming control systems (e.g. Siemens TIA Portal, ABB Control Builder / 800xA)
