About the role

We are now looking for a Senior Embedded Developer with a focus on the defense sector. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions in technically advanced and security-critical defense projects.

In the role of Embedded Developer, you will work with the entire development chain and contribute with your technical expertise in advanced projects in defense and security.

As part of AFRY's team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, both internally in our product development business and out with our customers in the defense sector. You will, among other things:

• Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems, mainly in C/C++ and Python
• Work in agile and cross-functional teams, in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers
• Participate in the entire development process - from requirements analysis and design to implementation, testing and verification
• Work in defense-related projects, both at customer sites and in-house
• Become part of AFRY's large and competent Embedded team, with good opportunities for competence development

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a senior profile in embedded development and a clear interest in safety-critical systems. You have several years of experience in embedded systems and feel confident in taking technical responsibility in complex environments. We would like you to have:

• Deep understanding of Embedded Linux
• Experience or understanding of Yocto
• Experience with cybersecurity in embedded systems, for example:
  • Encryption
  • Key management
  • Secure boot
• Very good knowledge of C/C++
• Experience with Python is meritorious
• Additional: experience with Qt/QML
