Within the business area Environment, AFRY offers qualified consulting services in contaminated areas and environment & sustainability. In Malmö, AFRY currently has a large section that works with notification and permit cases, water and air investigations, environmental impact assessments, environmental investigations, environmental technical soil surveys, environmental controls, risk assessments, sustainability, auditing, environmental management and quality management. Our customer base is broad and the customers are both in the private as well as the municipal and state sectors.

We are looking for you who are an experienced environmental consultant in contaminated areas. As part of our team, you will play a central role in leading assignments or be included as an expert/specialist. The main focus of the role as an experienced environmental consultant in contaminated sites is project and development work preferably with a profile in in-depth risk assessments. You will work closely with our clients to identify, assess and manage environmental risks. Business acumen is important and you will work on assignments from tender stage to implementation and reporting. We value your ability to analyze complex situations and your experience in managing projects from start to finish. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced colleagues both locally and nationally in the field to help create sustainable solutions for the environment. You will also be involved in training and developing junior colleagues.

Within AFRY there is the opportunity to contribute and drive technology development nationally in our various technology areas where contaminated areas have their own technology area with links to universities and research. Several of our experienced consultants have a research background and have ongoing collaborations with colleges and universities.  

Qualifications

To succeed well and thrive in your role as a senior environmental consultant, we are looking for you who have:

  • Post-secondary education, either an academic scientific/technical (civil / university engineer)  education with a degree in environmental engineering, chemistry, geology, ecosystem engineering or equivalent parts that relate to the environmental field.
  • Very good collaboration skills and interest in contributing with your experience.
  • Many years of experience (>10 years) in contaminated areas.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
  • B-driving license.

We would like you to have experience of in-depth risk assessments and infrastructure projects, industrial projects, civil engineering contracts, development assignments, mass management.

It is advantageous, but not a requirement, if you also have experience in any of the areas of sediment, water quality, main studies, action investigation or remediation.
