Job description

Now we want to further strengthen our team in building, land and construction with a focus on the defense sector nationally. As an assignment manager or project manager, you will lead technically advanced and sometimes security-classified projects that contribute to Sweden's total defense and robust social infrastructure. We work closely with our customers in interdisciplinary teams to create sustainable, functional and resilient solutions in complex environments. You are responsible for planning (time, cost, scope), coordination, quality assurance, documentation and technical decisions in projects where high standards of confidentiality, security and structure are key issues. You lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensure interface management and follow AFRY's and customers' requirements for delivery precision and requirements setting.

The work involves close interaction with the defense sector and requires a good understanding of military operations, high-security environments and technical systems linked to defense infrastructure. Experience of buildings, land, facilities, installations and other infrastructure linked to defense facilities is a prerequisite for the role.

Qualifications

The role requires:

  • A minimum of three-year architectural and/or technical college degree in civil engineering or at least four-year technical high school degree, or two-year technical degree from a vocational college.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a relevant role
  • Experience in the defense sector or as a supplier to the Swedish Fortifications Agency
  • Documented experience in security classified project environments
  • Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination or general consulting assignments
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English in speech and writing

Additional qualifications:

  • Recently completed BAS-P training or other qualifications that may be meritorious for the role.
  • Former professional officer
  • Current or former reserve officer
  • Temporary serving soldier/seaman
  • Active in the Home Guard

These experiences provide valuable understanding of the end customer's environment, requirements and ways of working.
