Job description

In the Process Gävle-Sundsvall service area, we work with process engineering primarily for industrial clients in the local area, but also for clients in other locations in Sweden and abroad. Together with colleagues around the world within AFRY, we are one of the leaders in the industry. According to the internationally recognized ENR ranking of consulting companies, for example, AFRY is number one globally in the pulp and paper industry. This means that with us you get to work on the most interesting projects and with the most competent consultants.  

We work closely with the AFRY network globally as well as with the other one hundred and fifty process engineers in Sweden and with other engineering disciplines. AFRY works with everything from idea and concept studies to implementation projects and commissioning. In addition, we work with trimming and thouble-shooting in existing plants.

Your task will be to continue to strengthen and develop the team through recruitment and development of employees. Furthermore, you are expected to be involved in creating new business, especially within the region. Cooperation with others in the process discipline locally and globally as well as other engineering disciplines is very important.The role includes:

• Coaching and leading the consultants in the team and ensuring that we have employees who thrive and develop with us.
• Driving sales, keeping in touch with new and existing customers to ensure that we support them in the best way.
• Write and present quotes to our customers
• Responsible for the recruitment and development of the team with the help of our recruiter, business developer and of course together with your manager colleagues and your manager.
• Responsible for your Service Area's budget and drive the business towards set goals.
• Responsible for the team's assignments and, if necessary, lead these.

The tasks are very dynamic and you will work with several interfaces externally as well as internally. You will be given a lot of freedom in your role and you will be given space to test your methods to achieve success, of course with the support of your manager.

The location will be in our office in central Gävle or in central Sundsvall.

Qualifications

We expect you to:

• Have a university or civil engineering degree, or equivalent relevant knowledge
• Have at least five years of professional experience in a relevant field in the process industry
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• Have leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor and develop technical teams
• Have experience in business development and sales, including the preparation ofquotations and presentations for clients
• Demonstrates competence in budget management and financial responsibility for business operations

Preferable:

• Previous experience in the consulting industry
• An established professional network in the process industry in the region
• Experience working in matrix organizations with global teams and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in recruitment and skills development
• Knowledge of the pulp pulp and paper industry or similar process-intensive sectors
• Experience in strategic business planning and performance management
