Job Description

Would you like to combine leadership, business development, and technical expertise in a role where you have the opportunity to influence both the business’s and your colleagues’ development?

We are now looking for a Service Area Manager to join our Electrical Engineering team in Uppsala. Here, you’ll play a key role, responsible for the service area’s development, results, and employees, while also contributing your technical expertise to projects and customer interactions.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Strategy, profitability, and results within the service area
• Quality assurance, as well as skills and staff development
• Customer relations and business development
• Developing the business in collaboration with other units in the region
• Contributing to the business area’s long-term development and growth
• Building strong teams and creating clarity around shared goals

You’ll work closely with the business and employees through a modern, coaching-style leadership approach. The role also involves you being actively involved in projects to some extent, for example as a project manager, specialist, or technical advisor.

Our team currently consists of about 15 employees with diverse backgrounds, experience, and expertise. We work on both large and small multidisciplinary projects, primarily in hospitals and other complex building environments. The team is characterized by strong cohesion, a high level of expertise, and low employee turnover.

Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated leader with the ability to drive results through people. You are motivated by developing the business, building long-term client relationships, and creating a supportive environment for employees to grow.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

• Experience in leadership within a technical organization
• A college degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Strong proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Strong IT skills and experience with Office 365 and business systems
• An inclusive and development-oriented leadership style
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A business-minded and results-oriented approach to work

We consider the following to be a plus:

• Experience in project management
• Experience in business development
• Leadership training
• Experience in technical consulting
• Certification in project management or leadership
