AFRY is a leader in energy efficiency services and now there is a chance to get a key role in driving and developing our business and employees to the next level.

Job description

The Energy Efficiency East section within Region East currently consists of about 10 employees. We work with energy efficiency of existing properties and offer a wide range of services that make us an important partner for our customers. Our projects range from inventories and calculations to design and implementation of measures. Our clients range from small companies to international corporations. We perform complete energy analyses for all types of building installations and industrial processes. As a member of our team, you have the opportunity to work with specialists from all parts of AFRY.

Our projects are fun, challenging and varied. With us, you get to follow the projects from the early stages to delivery and follow-up.

As part of a large consulting company, we have the opportunity to work smart and gain broad knowledge in all areas of building technology - whatever the assignment requires, we can help each other and solve it. Our work climate is therefore characterized by teamwork and forward thinking. We work in a positive and stimulating environment where there is a constant exchange of experiences.

The section's areas of activity include:

  • Energy surveys
  • Energy declarations
  • Energy surveys
  • Energy projects
  • Measurement and follow-up of energy use
  • Practical operation and energy optimization

Your role as Service Area Manager

As Service Area Manager, you will have a strategic and operational role with great responsibility and many contact areas. You lead the section's operations and are responsible for:

  • Strategies, profitability and results
  • Quality, staff and skills development
  • Customer relations and business development

You are a present leader who sees and hears your employees and helps them grow. The role is combined with being active in projects yourself, for example as a project manager or specialist.

Your managerial role also includes:

  • Developing the section in collaboration with other units in the region
  • Contributing to the long-term development of the business area
  • Motivating and further developing employees through modern and coaching leadership
  • Building teams and creating clarity around common goals

We are in an expansive phase and want to grow. Here you get the opportunity to influence and drive change - both for the section, the region and nationally.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Service Area Manager, we see that you have a solid background in energy efficiency and are well versed in the issues that are central to the business. You are likely to have worked in a managerial or supervisory role, for example as a department manager, group manager, team leader or as a senior project/assignment manager. Your education is likely to be a university or civil engineering degree, but we also value equivalent experience gained through other means.

We believe you have experience from one or more of the following perspectives:

  • The consulting industry
  • The contractor side
  • Client organizations

In addition to your technical skills, your leadership is a crucial factor. You have a proven track record of:

  • Engaging and motivating your people
  • Creating collaboration and building strong teams
  • Driving development and growing businesses
  • Taking initiative and stepping up when needed

We also look for you to:

  • Have good interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships - both internally and externally
  • A curiosity about the technology field and like to be challenged, both in terms of business and leadership
  • A team player who is happy to share your knowledge

In short: we are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with business acumen and inspiring leadership. If you recognize yourself - or if you have another background that you think makes you the right person for the role - we look forward to your application!
