AFRY has Nordic roots with global reach. Our common principles - Result driven, Client centric, Empowering and Accountable - guide us in how we work, develop and succeed together. Join us in accelerating the transition to a sustainable society.

Job description

Our team in sustainable construction in Region West currently consists of about 15 employees who together drive the development towards more climate and resource-efficient buildings. We work with advice throughout the construction process - from early stages and strategic choices, to design, implementation and follow-up.

As part of a larger consulting company, we have access to broad expertise in all areas of building technology, which means that we can take on complex assignments together with colleagues from different parts of the organization. With us, you are met by a working climate characterized by collaboration, commitment and an active exchange of knowledge.

Our assignments range from environmental and energy coordination, recycling and material selection, to certifications such as Miljöbyggnad, Svanen, BREEAM and NollCO₂. We also work with energy calculations, climate calculations (LCA), climate declarations, LCC analyses and the development of digital calculation tools. Projects include new construction and renovation of all types of buildings, as well as advice to property owners and managers in the early stages.

Your role as Service Area Manager

As Service Area Manager, you will have a strategic and operational role with great responsibility and many contact areas. You lead the group's operations and are responsible for:

  • Strategies, profitability and results
  • Quality, staff and skills development
  • Customer relations and business development

You are a present leader who sees and hears your employees and helps them grow. The role is combined with being active in projects yourself, for example as a project manager or specialist.

Your managerial role also includes:

  • Developing your team in collaboration with other units in the region
  • Contributing to the long-term development of the business area
  • Motivating and further developing employees through modern and coaching leadership
  • Building teams and creating clarity around common goals

We are in an expansive phase and want to grow in new service areas. Here you will have the opportunity to influence and drive change - both for the section and for the region.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of Service Area Manager, we see that you have a solid background in one or more of the areas of Environmental Coordination and Energy Coordination and are well versed in the issues that are central to the business. You are likely to have worked in a managerial or supervisory role, for example as a department head, team leader, team leader or as a senior project/assignment manager. Your education is likely to be a Bachelor's or Master's degree, but we also value equivalent experience gained through other means.

We believe you have experience from one or more of the following perspectives:

  • Consulting industry
  • Contractor side
  • Client organizations

In addition to your technical skills, your leadership is a crucial factor. You have a proven track record of:

  • Engaging and motivating your people
  • Creating collaboration and building strong teams
  • Taking initiative and stepping up when needed

We also look for you to:

  • Have good interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships - both internally and externally
  • A curiosity about the technology field and like to be challenged, both in terms of business and leadership
  • A team player who is happy to share your knowledge

In short: we are looking for someone who combines technical understanding with business acumen and inspiring leadership. If you recognize yourself - or if you have another background that you think makes you the right person for the role - we look forward to your application!
