Are you a person who thrives on taking high-level technical responsibility, driving architecture forward and coaching others? AFRY is now looking for a Solution Architect who wants to help shape the future of solutions in embedded systems, IoT and digital ecosystems. This is a strategic and leading role, where you work closely with customers and development teams - focusing on holistic design and technical leadership.

Your main responsibilities

Architecture & technical direction

• Responsible for system and solution architecture in complex embedded and IoT projects.
• Translate business and customer needs into architectural decisions and technical roadmaps.
• Ensure that the solution follows the right design principles, security requirements and scalability goals.

Leadership & Coordination

• Serve as technical leader for the development team.
• Coach developers, drive technical dialogs and support the team in the right direction.
• Make decisions related to technology selection, structure, quality and risk management.

Communication & stakeholder management

• Be the primary technical contact towards customer and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in requirements analysis, solution discussions, estimates and development of technical documentation (RFQ, solution proposals, architecture documents).
• Collaborate closely with project managers and product owners.

Quality and system integrity

• Ensure that development follows the architecture and set guidelines.
• Define overall test strategies, integration and system quality.

Qualifications

Your background

• Good experience in system architecture in embedded systems, IoT or distributed systems.
• Understanding of modern technologies in C/C++, C#, embedded Linux, microcontrollers, cloud architecture (e.g. Azure) and relevant communication protocols. Experience with modern ways of working such as Agile, CI/CD and DevOps principles.
• Previous responsibility for large system solutions or product architecture.
