Job Description

We are now recruiting an SQM/SQE on behalf of a client. As an SQM or SQE, you’ll have the opportunity to work very independently in areas such as mechanics, electronics, and systems. You’ll have many points of contact, primarily with suppliers in Sweden and Europe, but you’ll also collaborate internally with engineering, procurement, production, and other quality functions.

A key aspect of this role is ensuring high quality through proactive collaboration with suppliers. This may involve, for example:

• Planning and conducting audits
• Product inspections, complaints, and nonconformance handling
• Establishing quality requirements in quotes and contracts
• Conducting risk analyses
• Working to develop suppliers and supplier relationships

The role may also involve investigations when a nonconformity has occurred. This involves, among other things, requesting and evaluating quality and non-conformance reports from suppliers, as well as developing collaborative relationships with suppliers for preventive purposes so that they have the capacity to meet the client’s requirements and expectations.

A number of business trips per year are included in the position.

Qualifications

A suitable educational background is a Master of Science in Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with several years of professional experience or equivalent experience gained in the workplace.

It is advantageous if you have any of the following experience:

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and/or EN9100
• 8D, Six Sigma, RCA, FMEA.
• APQP/PPAP
• IPC-610, IPC-620 and IPC-640
• FAI (First Article Inspection), according to EN9102

You must have practical experience with quality assurance in the manufacturing industry, and experience in the automotive industry is a plus. Since many of our customers are international, you must have a good command of English, both spoken and written.

To thrive in this role, you are expected to take on a high degree of personal responsibility. You have a systematic and structured approach to work, are self-motivated, and take the initiative to act and follow up independently. You are a person with strong communication skills who finds it easy to build good relationships, as you will have many different points of contact both within the company and with suppliers. You have the ability to build and develop long-term business relationships while remaining encouraging and challenging in your role of supporting suppliers in their process and improvement efforts.

This position requires that you undergo and pass a security clearance, in accordance with the Security Protection Act.

Swedish citizenship is a requirement for this position.
