Job Description
Would you like to work as a consultant in product development across multiple industries? Do you want to create new products and ensure that new technical solutions benefit users?
AFRY is seeking systems engineers to take on technical leadership roles in the development of products and services within our Product Development business area. As a systems engineer, you’ll play a driving role in defining new products based on user needs and potential technical solutions. You’ll be the hub of the development team, bringing together the various development disciplines. The role also involves ensuring that the overall solution functions effectively and meets user needs throughout all phases of product development.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with business owners, project managers, and development teams to define projects and products
- Defining product and system requirements and breaking down system requirements into underlying requirement levels
- Defining system architecture and concepts
- Building and testing prototypes and functional models
- Planning and conducting verification activities
- Serving as a technical project manager and driving the planning of development activities
- Taking overall responsibility for technical documentation
Qualifications
You have several years of experience with product development projects. You have a genuine interest in technology, which has given you a strong understanding of how products are built and function. Of course, you enjoy finding technical solutions to challenging problems! This position may be security-classified, which entails requirements regarding citizenship and a successful security clearance.
Requirements for the position are:
- M.Sc. Engineering Physics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in product development, preferably from initiation through market launch
- Professional experience in some or all of the following: Integration, testing, and verification in product development projects; formulation of product and system requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to express yourself clearly in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Resident in Sweden
