Job Description

Are you looking to grow in the field of systems engineering and work with advanced technical systems in a high-tech environment? We are now looking for a Systems Engineer who wants to help ensure that complex systems are developed, integrated, and verified in a structured and efficient manner. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background and an interest in requirements management, system architecture, and technical problem-solving.

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll work to translate customer and business needs into clear system requirements and technical solutions. You’ll collaborate with multiple technical disciplines and help ensure that products and systems meet established requirements throughout the entire development process.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Requirements management and traceability throughout the system development process.
• Analysis and breakdown of customer and business requirements into technical system requirements. 
• Definition and documentation of interfaces between systems and subsystems.
• Preparation of technical documentation and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
• Modeling of system architecture, data flows, and functions.
• Participation in verification and validation activities to ensure requirements compliance.
• Identifying and managing technical risks throughout the system’s lifecycle

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who: 

• A college degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, computer engineering, or a related field.
• An interest in systems engineering and complex technical systems.
• Knowledge of requirements management and technical documentation.
• Are analytical and able to see both the big picture and the details in technical solutions.
• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).
• Experience with SysML or other modeling tools.
• Knowledge of verification, validation, and testing methodologies.
• Experience in the defense, automotive, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of INCOSE, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, the V-model, or agile development methods.

As a person, we believe you are curious, organized, and enjoy solving technical challenges together with others. You have a systematic approach to work, a strong drive to learn new things, and a desire to develop your skills in systems engineering.

Since this role is in the defense sector, you must be a Swedish citizen.

Additional Information

This is a fixed-term position with the prospect of continued employment with the client after a period of 12–15 months.

We expect applicants from other locations to be willing to relocate and live in Örnsköldsvik.
