Job Description

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer who wants to play a key role in developing advanced technical systems for our clients. In the role of systems engineer, you will work closely with both our clients and internal teams to create customized solutions, participating in the entire process from requirements specification to the finished product.

As a systems engineer at AFRY, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle a wide range of technical challenges, applying your problem-solving skills while helping to develop innovative solutions. You’ll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team, working closely with clients and technical leaders to ensure that all solutions meet both client and industry requirements.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to serve as the hub of complex projects. You have experience developing technical system solutions and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders. It’s also important to us that you have an open attitude toward collaboration, both internally at AFRY and externally with our clients.

As a consultant at AFRY, you’ll have the opportunity to work on both in-house projects and on-site at our clients’ locations, depending on the nature of the project and your own interests and skills.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we believe you have a university degree in systems engineering, electronics, computer science, or equivalent professional experience. You have experience designing and developing technical systems and components and have worked across the entire chain from requirements specification to finished product.

Experience with requirements management, preferably using tools such as Doors or similar, is a plus. You have the ability to see the big picture and thrive on having many points of contact both internally and externally. We also look for strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team to solve complex technical challenges.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you have strong communication skills and can express yourself well in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred experience for this role includes:

• Experience in software/electronics
• Ability to read and understand design documentation
• Ability to work in accordance with safety regulations and obtain the necessary approvals if required for the position

Since many of our positions involve work subject to defense secrecy, a security clearance with a background check may be required
