Job Description
At AFRY T&D Grid Integration, Substation and Distribution in Western Sweden, we contribute specialized expertise to the expansion of the power grid of the future and the ongoing energy and industrial transition.
Western Sweden is a particularly important market for AFRY, with a high concentration of energy companies, industry, and major electrification projects. Our clients are found in both the energy and electric power sectors as well as in industry.
Our assignments range from feasibility studies, planning, and design to completed facility modifications. Projects are carried out both under AFRY’s own management and as consulting support on-site at our clients’ facilities. We work on projects of varying scope, from maintenance and modifications to major reinvestments and new construction. Through our broad expertise, we create value for our clients while also helping each other grow.
We are now seeking a Group Manager for our operations in Gothenburg or Trollhättan. You will lead and develop an established team and be responsible for the team’s continued growth. The role involves close collaboration with other team leaders and managers within T&D, where you will jointly drive business development, professional development, and business opportunities.
As a team leader, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and recruiting employees, as well as contributing to the continued development of the team and the department. You will work closely with our customers in the energy and industrial sectors and contribute to the development of long-term customer relationships, service offerings, and business opportunities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with customers facing significant investments in electrification, power grid expansion, new connections, and the modernization of electrical infrastructure. You will work closely with the Market Area Manager, to whom you will report. The role involves full personnel responsibility, including salary setting, performance reviews, and employee follow-ups.
This is a position with significant opportunity to influence both the group’s development and the direction of the business. As part of the management team, you will collaborate with other group managers and leaders on business development, talent acquisition, and strategic issues. Assignments are carried out at client sites, from AFRY’s offices, or in collaboration with colleagues throughout the country and internationally. Travel is a natural part of the role.
The role also offers the flexibility to combine leadership with your own consulting work based on your experience and ambitions.
Qualifications
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your potential to grow as a manager. With the right fit, we believe you’ll both thrive and make a difference with us!
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and networks, both internally and externally. You build trust, collaborate across boundaries, and leverage others’ expertise. At the same time, you see opportunities where others might see obstacles, have a solution-oriented approach, and are confident in driving initiatives and inspiring others to get involved. With your energy and curiosity, you help people grow, collaborate, and achieve common goals.
